Paris Saint-Germain are expected to make several changes to their squad next summer. Sporting director Luis Campos is already preparing a move for Mateus Fernandes.
PSG are quietly progressing in the Mateus Fernandes deal. According to The Athletic, the Portuguese midfielder from West Ham is indeed on the Parisian club’s radar ahead of the upcoming transfer window.
PSG Eye Another Portuguese Talent
And there is good news for Paris: the player is expected to be sold this summer regardless of the division West Ham will play in next season. The decision has reportedly already been almost fully approved internally in London.
At just 21 years old, Fernandes continues to attract major interest across Europe thanks to his performances despite West Ham’s difficult season. Unsurprisingly, Luis Campos remains very attentive to young Portuguese talents.
However, PSG will need to spend big. West Ham are hoping to secure a massive fee from the deal and, above all, make a huge profit after investing nearly €50 million in the player last summer.
