Olympique de Marseille is ready to move on from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. Eager to reduce its wage bill during the summer transfer window, the French club has reportedly set a surprisingly low asking price for the experienced Gabonese striker.
Aubameyang is expected to leave Marseille, and he will not cost much. According to La Provence, the club is asking for just €1.5 million to part ways with the former Arsenal and Barcelona forward. The modest fee would allow OM to generate some cash while offloading one of its highest salaries.
Aubameyang Attracting Strong Interest Across Europe
Despite being 37 years old, Aubameyang enjoyed a respectable campaign, scoring 10 goals in 30 Ligue 1 appearances. However, he is no longer believed to be part of Marseille’s long-term plans. Although he remains under contract until June 2027, the Gabon international has been encouraged to find a new club this summer.
There is no shortage of suitors. Turkish clubs including Fenerbahçe, Beşiktaş, Trabzonspor, and Çorum FK have reportedly shown interest, while teams from Spain, Italy, and the United States are also monitoring the situation. At a fee of just €1.5 million, Aubameyang could quickly become one of the biggest bargain signings of the summer transfer window.
