The transfer window is now closed for Paris Saint-Germain. The Parisian club did not go on a spending spree this winter but is already preparing for a far more eventful offseason, with several major squad adjustments under consideration.
PSG kept a low profile. Only Dro signed for the club, and a loan deal for a young Tunisian player was turned into a permanent transfer. And that was it. Paris did not land any big names. According to Eurosport journalist Romain Collet-Gaudin, the real push will come next summer.
Major Defensive and Contract Decisions Ahead
The club’s management wants to focus on stability until the end of the season, keeping a group that knows each other well and could be living its final months together. Significant movement is expected mainly in defense, where several departures are possible: Lucas Hernandez and Lucas Beraldo could leave the club. Paris is reportedly targeting Jules Koundé as a replacement.
Up front, questions will arise about players nearing the end of their contracts, including Dembélé and Barcola. Ramos’ situation will also be closely examined by the coaching staff.
Luis Enrique’s staff has already identified several profiles to strengthen the squad. The goal is to anticipate a broader rebuild, considered easier to carry out in the summer, a more favorable period for major transfers. Thanks to a recent reduction in the wage bill, Paris is believed to have significant financial flexibility to invest, but must avoid recruitment mistakes, as some recent major signings have not yet fully delivered.
