According to Marca, Real Madrid are considering a blockbuster exchange deal: Rodrygo could be offered to Arsenal in return for William Saliba.
The Spanish giants don’t want to spend more cash this summer but are determined to bring in a top-level centre-back. While Liverpool’s Ibrahima Konaté is seen as a more realistic option, Saliba is considered the higher-quality target — and Xabi Alonso would reportedly approve without hesitation.
Madrid are even ready to sacrifice Rodrygo, who has found his role diminished in recent months with competition from Mbappé, Vinicius, Bellingham and Endrick. The 24-year-old Brazilian was already sidelined during the Club World Cup.
Arsenal Not Listening
On Arsenal’s side, the response is firm: Saliba is not for sale. The defender has even expressed his desire to extend his stay in London. Still, it remains to be seen if Madrid’s late push could test the Gunners’ resolve before the window closes.
