Real Madrid’s sporting management is already preparing for a summer transfer window that could significantly reshape the squad. Between injuries, dips in form, and lack of playing time, several players are under pressure, particularly in defense where adjustments are expected.
Spanish media report a major clear-out at Real Madrid next summer. After a very challenging season, the club’s leadership has decided to rebuild the squad, with a new head coach set to lead the changes.
Major Squad Overhaul Expected Across All Positions
Three key players are reaching the end of their contracts in June: David Alaba, Dani Carvajal, and Antonio Rüdiger. While the German defender appears closest to extending his deal, nothing has been finalized. Carvajal raises concerns due to recurring physical issues, while Alaba is likely to leave the club barring any surprise developments.
Uncertainty extends across all areas of the pitch. In defense, Fran García and Ferland Mendy both face unclear futures, with limited playing time and injury struggles impacting their situations. In midfield, Eduardo Camavinga has slipped down the pecking order, while Dani Ceballos could be sold with one year left on his contract to avoid a free transfer.
Up front, Franco Mastantuono and Gonzalo García are struggling for opportunities amid intense competition. A loan or permanent departure is being considered, as is the case for Andriy Lunin, who may leave Madrid in search of regular playing time away from the shadow of Thibaut Courtois.
