It’s done. According to Fabrizio Romano, Antoine Semenyo is set to join Manchester City. The famous “here we go” has dropped: the documents have been exchanged and approved with Bournemouth.
The transfer will cost the Citizens £65 million. The forward is due to undergo his medical this Thursday before signing a long-term contract with Pep Guardiola’s club.
A New Step Up in His Career
Highly sought after in the Premier League, Semenyo had several offers from top-four English clubs, but he made a clear choice: Manchester City. The Ghana international was eager to work under Guardiola, a decisive factor in his decision.
At City, Semenyo is about to take a huge step forward in his career. After breaking out in a Bournemouth shirt, he joins one of the best teams in the world and will have to earn his place in an ultra-competitive squad. A major transfer, both for the player and for the Citizens, who continue to strengthen their attacking arsenal.
