However, Paris Saint-Germain strongly denies the claim. According to an article published by L’Équipe on November 19, 2024, the French club categorically rejected the story. “We deny it a million percent. We did not have the financial capacity to make such an offer,” PSG reportedly stated.
So who is telling the truth? Laporta insists he turned down a record-breaking bid, while Paris maintains it was never made. One thing is certain: at just 17 years old at the time, Yamal was already viewed as a generational talent capable of smashing transfer records.
