Cristiano Ronaldo and Elon Musk were guests at the grand golden dinner at the White House on Tuesday, where Donald Trump welcomed Mohammed bin Salman as an old billionaire friend.
Between a Ronaldo nearing the end of his career, now a star of Al Nassr thanks to the XXL checks from Riyadh, and a Musk suddenly warming up to Trump after a few months in a government commission, the event felt less like a state dinner and more like a casting of XXL fortunes coming together to seal the “new love” between Washington and Riyadh.
Trump, as proud as a peacock, even explained that his son Barron had the chance to meet his idol Ronaldo — an essential detail for a diplomatic summit, of course.
The son of Trump loves CR7
“You know, my son is a big fan of Ronaldo,” Donald Trump said in his speech before the dinner.

Gianni Infantino, always ready for a good photo-op before the 2026 World Cup, was also at the party. Ronaldo, who will play in his last World Cup, smiled at the table, probably mentally counting his Saudi bonuses.

As for Musk, sitting at another table but clearly back in Trump’s good graces, he completed the glamorous trio of the rapprochement. The evening concluded with Trump celebrating MBS as a “man of leadership,” conveniently forgetting the Khashoggi affair. An almost perfect dinner — a geopolitical and very, very lucrative version.
