FC Barcelona are already preparing for the future of their bench. According to the Spanish outlet Sport, the Catalan club is closely monitoring two clearly identified profiles for the head coach position: Mikel Arteta, currently at Arsenal, and Luis Enrique, now in charge of Paris Saint-Germain.

Barça want a Spanish coach next, and not just anyone. It will obviously not be Xabi Alonso; the choice is clearly between Mikel Arteta and Luis Enrique.

However, there is no question of an imminent change. The blaugrana leadership instead want Hansi Flick to remain in charge “for as long as possible.” But internally, Barça intend to anticipate every scenario and do not want to be caught off guard if the German were to leave.
