“He’s a complete player. He helps this Lyon side so much that I keep questioning the debate we’ve had for weeks about selecting Corentin. His current level reminds me of the Corentin Tolisso I knew during his peak years at Lyon before he left for Bayern. He can play in a two-man midfield, higher up the pitch, make forward runs, or stay in front of the defense — even though I think he prefers to push forward. For a team, for a World Cup, you can use him anywhere,” Umtiti explained.
