PSG may have found Gonçalo Ramos’ successor, and he is already playing in Ligue 1. According to Foot Mercato, the capital club are interested in Florian Balogun, the American international striker from AS Monaco.
Paris are actively preparing for life after Ramos. The Portuguese forward officially left PSG on Tuesday, leaving a gap to fill in the attacking department. The Parisian management are looking for a new centre-forward capable of bringing depth, speed and real competition up front.
Balogun Emerges as a Serious Option for PSG
In this context, Balogun’s profile is highly appealing. Formerly of Arsenal and now well established at Monaco, the American striker already knows Ligue 1 perfectly. Quick, mobile and capable of attacking space, he offers a different profile from Ramos.
PSG have reportedly even stepped up their efforts in this case. The idea would be to sign a player able to fit into the attacking rotation without necessarily disrupting the balance of the Parisian frontline. Balogun could therefore become a new luxury super-sub in the squad.
But Paris will have to deal with serious competition. Several Premier League clubs are also said to be monitoring his situation, including Tottenham and Chelsea. For now, the deal is not done, but one thing is certain: after Gonçalo Ramos’ departure, PSG are accelerating their search for a new number 9.
