Paris Saint-Germain’s squad clear-out is picking up pace for some players, but stalling for others.
According to Tuttosport, PSG and Juventus have reached an agreement for Randal Kolo Muani’s return to Turin. The deal would be a €10m paid loan with a mandatory €45m purchase option. The French striker, who spent the second half of last season on loan with the Bianconeri, is expected to be available for their Serie A opener against Parma on August 24.
Marco Asensio’s situation is more complicated. Despite PSG and Fenerbahçe agreeing on a €10–15m transfer fee, the Spaniard turned down the move. The Turkish side have since signed Benfica’s Kerem Aktürkoglu, closing the door on that deal. A return to Aston Villa remains a possibility for the 29-year-old winger.
Mukiele also close to leaving
Meanwhile, Nordi Mukiele is close to a Premier League switch. Back from a loan at Bayer Leverkusen and out of Luis Enrique’s plans, the right-back has a verbal agreement with newly promoted Sunderland. He has been cleared to travel to England to finalise the move.
