After the comprehensive victory of PSG against Lille (3-0), Luis Enrique displayed a mix of satisfaction and demand in an interview with BeIN Sports. The Parisian coach was obviously pleased with the win and his team’s return to the top of the league, while acknowledging that the start of the match had been tricky against a LOSC capable of effectively playing out from the back and posing problems in pressing.
The Spanish coach emphasized the clear improvement of his players after the break, particularly in the intensity and organization of the pressing, which ultimately turned the match in their favor. He also highlighted the regained efficiency, which was quite different from what was shown during the elimination against Paris FC.
Luis Enrique logically spent a considerable amount of time discussing Ousmane Dembélé’s performance, who scored a brace and a spectacular goal. He did not hide his admiration for this extraordinary achievement, describing it as a goal worthy of a video game, and reminding everyone how unique the French winger is as a player.
“It feels good, that’s for sure, when there are victories and it’s important. We are starting the second half of the season and it’s important to win. But Lille played well, we had problems at the start of the match. We saw the issues in the first half; they managed to break our pressing more easily, we had to think while running. We had a better second half. We pressed better and it worked.”
MAIS QUEL BUT DE DEMBÉLÉ !!!

But true to his principles, the Parisian coach did not want to stop at compliments. He explained that he expects even more from his player, particularly in defensive efforts and in his role as a leader on the pitch. For him, Dembélé has the level and status to elevate the team in all aspects of the game, and PSG needs to see him assert himself even more as a leader.
“Today, we had the luck that we didn’t have in the last match against Paris FC. Ousmane Dembélé? It’s an incredible goal from a different player, a PlayStation goal. We want to see and enjoy Ousmane again, but I expect more from him, in defensive recoveries, because he can be a leader, I want even more from him. We need his level,” said Luis Enrique.
