Real Madrid and FC Barcelona have taken the opportunity to unveil their new away kits for the 2026-27 season, with the two Spanish giants revealing their designs less than 24 hours apart. While both clubs drew inspiration from their identities, they chose completely different creative directions.
Real Madrid will wear a predominantly dark green away shirt featuring off-white details. Designed by Adidas, the jersey includes a subtle geometric pattern incorporating the club’s initials, while the iconic Trefoil logo gives the kit a distinctive retro touch that blends tradition with modern style.

Barcelona Pays Tribute to Kobe Bryant
Barcelona opted for a much bolder concept through its collaboration with the Kobe Bryant brand. The away shirt combines black and purple with a snakeskin-inspired pattern, while gold accents pay tribute to the legendary “Black Mamba” identity of the former Los Angeles Lakers icon.
The Catalan club’s jersey also features several references to Kobe Bryant, including his signature logo and a discreet message encouraging athletes to leave the sport in a better place than they found it. The black symbolizes determination, while the purple and gold reflect the colors that defined Bryant’s legendary basketball career.

With these new away kits, Real Madrid and Barcelona present two contrasting philosophies. Madrid has embraced a refined, retro-inspired look, while Barcelona has gone for a bold and eye-catching design, setting up the first aesthetic battle between La Liga’s two biggest rivals before the new season even begins.
