A major shock at Tottenham Hotspur: Igor Tudor has already left his position after just six weeks, while the Spurs are accelerating their efforts to bring in Roberto De Zerbi.
Only six short weeks and then goodbye. Appointed to revive Tottenham, Tudor failed to complete his mission. The London club officially announced the immediate end of its collaboration with the Croatian coach by mutual agreement.
Spurs Target De Zerbi to Rebuild Long-Term Project
Following his departure, his assistants Tomislav Rogic and Riccardo Ragnacci have also stepped down from their roles. Despite this swift failure, Spurs praised Tudor’s “hard work” and expressed their support after he recently experienced personal bereavement.
Already searching for a successor, Tottenham are now pushing hard to convince De Zerbi, who is currently available after leaving Olympique de Marseille. Highly regarded internally, the Italian is seen as the ideal candidate to build a sustainable long-term project.
However, the former Marseille coach would prefer to wait until the end of the season before committing. Currently sitting 17th in the Premier League, Spurs are nevertheless intensifying their efforts to bring him in immediately and revive a team struggling with uncertainty.
