Brazil can breathe a sigh of relief: Neymar is back. Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that the superstar forward will be available for Brazil’s final group-stage match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup against Scotland.
Brazilian fans finally have a reason to smile. After missing the opening two World Cup matches against Morocco (1-1) and Haiti (3-0), Neymar is now on the verge of making his long-awaited return for the Seleção.
Neymar Ready for Scotland Clash
Following the victory over Haiti, Carlo Ancelotti confirmed during his post-match press conference that the 34-year-old attacker would be available for Brazil’s third group match, scheduled for Wednesday night against Scotland.
“Yes, Neymar will train individually tomorrow. On Monday, he will rejoin the squad and then be ready for the match against Scotland,” the Brazil coach stated, putting an end to concerns about the fitness of his star player.
This comeback is particularly significant for Brazil. Away from the national team for nearly three years, Neymar is preparing to wear the famous yellow shirt again in a major international tournament. With 128 caps and 79 goals, the former PSG forward remains one of the most iconic figures in the history of the Seleção. Already qualified for the knockout stage after their win over Haiti, Brazil now hopes Neymar’s experience and talent can provide an extra edge as the competition intensifies.
