Paris Saint-Germain are stepping up their pursuit of Maghnes Akliouche. The AS Monaco attacking midfielder is currently one of the hottest leads in Paris, as the capital club is already preparing the next steps of its attacking transfer window.
After several weeks of rumors, PSG have reportedly made their move with a first concrete offer. According to L’Équipe, Paris have proposed around €35 million to sign the 24-year-old French international. It is a serious opening approach, but still not enough to convince AS Monaco.
A €15 Million Gap Between Paris and Monaco
The gap is not huge by the standards of today’s market, but it does exist. According to Le Parisien, Monaco would be expecting closer to €50 million to open the door to a departure for Maghnes Akliouche, who is under contract until June 2028.
The player is highly appreciated by PSG. His versatility, creativity and ability to operate between the lines match the profile Luis Enrique is looking for. The Spanish coach likes technical, mobile players who can quickly fit into his system.
Paris could also see Akliouche as a way to anticipate the expected departure of Kang-in Lee to Atlético Madrid. PSG want to avoid being caught off guard and are looking to strengthen their attacking play with a player already familiar with Ligue 1. Monaco are in no rush to sell and intend to drive the price up, but with only €15 million separating the two positions, an agreement remains possible in the coming weeks.
