What if Olympique Lyonnais pulled off the perfect move? The loan of Endrick (19) from Real Madrid could ultimately cost the Rhône club… nothing at all.
Endrick on loan to OL for six months… and for 0 euros, it’s possible. Announced at up to one million euros, the deal is in fact indexed to the number of starts made by the Brazilian, according to The Athletic.
A performance-based deal that can drop to zero
In concrete terms, Lyon saves 200,000 euros for every five starts. From 25 matches started, the bill drops to zero. A potential jackpot.
Barring injury, Endrick should play at least 20 matches in the second half of the season. And in the ideal scenario (a run to the finals of the Coupe de France and the Europa League), he could go up to 31 games. Enough to turn this loan into a huge financial win for OL.
