Will Michael Olise really leave Bayern Munich this summer? Linked with several major European clubs, especially Real Madrid, the French international has become one of the most closely watched names of the transfer window.
Michael Olise’s future has even become a topic inside the France camp. Real Madrid and Bayern Munich players are being asked about it: Tchouaméni, Mbappé, Upamecano, everyone is facing questions on the subject. Real Madrid are said to have made Michael Olise one of their major priorities to strengthen their attack.
Upamecano plays down the Real Madrid rumours
But at Bayern Munich, there seems to be little belief that the former Crystal Palace player could leave so quickly. After France’s win over Paraguay in the World Cup round of 16, Dayot Upamecano was asked about the future of his club and international teammate. The French defender answered with a big smile.
“Did I tell Michael to stay at Bayern Munich? He’s staying, he’s staying,” Upamecano said, referring to the rumours sending Olise to Real Madrid. But his slight smile still left room for uncertainty… or perhaps a little discomfort.

Was it just a joke between teammates or a real clue about the player’s position? For now, it is hard to say. The Olise situation remains highly sensitive: Real Madrid are closely monitoring his profile, while Bayern Munich have no desire to lose one of their most important talents. One thing is certain: Michael Olise’s future will continue to make headlines as long as the transfer window remains open.
