This is the hottest winter saga. AS Monaco are ready to let Maghnes Akliouche go, and PSG are on the lookout. At 23, the Monaco attacking midfielder is setting the transfer market alight and could become the big January move… at a reduced price.
Akliouche to PSG has never been this close. At a press conference this weekend, Sébastien Pocognoli didn’t even try to cool things down. “I’m counting on everyone for the second half of the season, but Maghnes is free to make his own decisions.” Translation: the door is wide open, and Paris has clearly received the message.
A price drop that changes everything
Because PSG are pushing hard. A club priority since last summer, Akliouche was previously deemed too expensive. At the time, Monaco were asking for €80 million. Today, the price has dropped… and everything has changed.
According to Ekrem Konur, Monaco now hope to receive between €60 and €65 million for their French international, who is under contract until 2028. A hefty sum, but one that has become affordable for Europe’s giants.
And Paris are not alone. Manchester City, Liverpool, Manchester United, Newcastle, Tottenham, Juventus, Inter, AC Milan and Atlético Madrid are all keeping a close eye on the situation. Fierce competition, but PSG are making their move and dreaming of sealing a massive deal.
