In recent hours, Vinícius Júnior has taken to Instagram to publicly apologize to Virgínia Fonseca following the end of their relationship.

The Real Madrid forward did not directly mention the reasons behind his statement but admitted: “Even if we were not officially in a relationship, there was a sincere connection.”

He continued: “Recently, I went through a situation that made me reflect and recognize that certain attitudes did not represent the person I wanted to be, nor the type of relationship I wanted to build. I’m not ashamed to admit that I was negligent, that I did not react in the best possible way, and that I disappointed her. That’s why I want to apologize publicly, with an open heart, because I’ve understood that a true relationship can only exist with respect, trust, and transparency.”
