OM secured a 1-0 victory against AJ Auxerre last Friday, but they are still struggling to convince in terms of playing style.
Olympique de Marseille is slowly getting back on track under Habib Beye. After weeks of crisis, things are improving on the Canebière. However, the overall performance was not enough to satisfy Christophe Dugarry. The RMC pundit believes that Beye must deliver a more entertaining OM, which is what the fans expect.
Expectations for a More Attractive Playing Style
“We must not settle for this kind of match. I understand that Habib Beye has one main objective, which is direct qualification for the Champions League, so points are essential. (…) But if he wants to continue his journey at OM, I think he will need to bring something more.”
Dugarry remains unconvinced about Beye’s long-term future. “Even if he wins all his matches 1-0 until the end of the season, I’m not convinced he will be kept in charge. For now, this type of performance can be understood, but it cannot last. There are 8 games left to play, and I hope we’ll get some real enjoyment at times,” the former Marseille player said on RMC.
