Neymar, the saga is coming to an end! The Brazilian star is ultimately expected to stay at Santos.
Neymar’s return to Santos would not be just a simple comeback. At 33, the Brazilian icon is well on his way to extending his stay with his boyhood club. With his contract expiring in December, the former Paris Saint-Germain player is in advanced talks over a new deal running until next June, according to AS.
A clear objective ahead of 2026
Nothing has been signed yet, but negotiations are progressing. Neymar’s goal is clear: play regularly, regain his best form, and force his way back into the Seleção. Absent from the Brazil squad since October 2023, the number 10 still dreams of the 2026 World Cup… and Santos could be his final springboard.
Neymar played through injury to help Santos secure their place in Brazil’s top division, especially in the final two matches, which he played while injured. The focus is now on recovery and regaining fitness to be ready by next June.
